Largest drum circle in the world beats for peace
By Emma Reid Bargara, Queensland, Australia https://www.bundabergnow.com/2019/11/02/largest-drum-circle-beats-for-peaceBundaberg Region community members joined Unity Drummers and drummers from around the world to beat collectively in the 2019 Largest Drum Circle in the World for Peace and Unity™
Cynthia said the Largest Drum Circle in the World for Peace and Unity movement was about finding the rhythm with a common aim to transform the world through small steps within our community in peace and unity.
“This is the second or third time we have joined with other circles from around the world in a 24-hour period,” she said. “Drumming can change all of us, it’s about helping to plant the seed of peace within ourselves. “I like to promote drumming for brain health and connection. We all have to remember if you don’t use it you will lose it!” https://www.facebook.com/cynthia.hoogstraten

This is Virginia’s participation in the “Largest Drum Circle in the World” For Peace and Global Unity Starting in Our Own Community™ Arthur Lopez hosted the event at the Virginia Wesleyan University in VA Beach. We were blessed to have Atumpan- The Talking Drums share their special African Rhythms with us and their family of drummers/dancers. Together we serve our community and planted the seeds of peace in the hearts and mind of all those who attended. We hope we have inspired them to create something, in their own unique way, to foster peace long after the event.
